back to Elluminate

Hi group - the assessments are coming in thick and fast...
If you havtn got your assessments in so far - keep working on them - my marking load is a phenomenon and I will be getting to each stack one by one - if you have not yet handed in assessments - then you will need an extension form form Keith...
if you arent in town then you can get all this tidfied up whn you are here for your next Basic Massage days.
Done get too far behind it s really hard to catch up - at least communicate with me !!
Tonights Fundamentals Elluminate is 6 - 8pm again and about Ethics - Assessment Task 4 a Blog post. Be prepared to discuss some deep philosphical ideas about ethical practice...

follow up from Elluminate and a task - enjoy!!

Hello group
Firstly - attachments have been sent to you from the Study Skills mentor - Paul Hamilton - they are on your emails.
and
Apologies again for the rest of the Elluminate session - grrr. I find the interruptions of technological hitches challenging in my teaching practice and can only imagine how frustrating it can be on your side as a student - actually I do experience them as a student in a course I am currently student on!!
I have noticed the enormous depths of patience in IT Support Help Desk 0800 765 948 though - thank-you for mine yesterday - we finally figured it was not a Java problem but an Elluminate update on my computer..

For problems with the mics - you can still get help through HelpDesk - they seem to be learning Elluminate alongside us.. always a few steps ahead though! -

and/or Check it out yourselves by going into Elluminate open session - Massage Common Room - and you can run thorugh your audio wizard (under Tools in the Elluminate classroom)!
I think that in building our learning community - an extra personage we may need to account for - may be the computer itself - I from know on will talk to mine nicely before I start Elluminate!! - She will be called Frank.
Just to list the topics we were discussing today for your benefit and making some critical links with Assessment Tasks One, Two and Seven,
1. Appointment Booking and Preparation for Massage
I have asked for you to Blog a "script" (Formative) - to review and formulate your way of communicating to a new or returning client.
Use the notes from wiki educator about Prepare Massage and Client Consultation - you will find the links for these on your course page in the Google docs department..
Also
Refer to Chapter 8 of Salvo. pp191 - 215.
and - Keep in mind the problematic of a client filling out their client sheet and indicating a medical condition which may need clearance.
Kind regards
Felicity Molloy
